Boquillas Canyon keeps topping my list of favorite canyons to float in the Big Bend. The varying canyons of the Rio Grande has kept my enticed for years. The true blue skies that persist for days makes camping river side so enjoyable.
This camp had it all: Good canyon hiking in Canyon Guerro, star gazing and bats chirping, soft grassy ledges for great tent sleeping.
This day the wind was calm and we liked watching the canyon shadows in the river.
The pools between the small rapids, cane shots, and wall shots make for great conversation time.
The views of the Sierra Del Carmens are a highlight of the first few miles on this trip. As the river meanders you get all varying views of "ElPico".
