Chisos Mountains or Desert Hikes

Service Description

The Big Bend region of Texas offers many miles of hiking trails. We will look at the best option for your hike. There are hikes that are in the Chisos mountains that reward you with outstanding views. Other hikes take a trip into history as we explore old mining ruins or rock art from probably the Mescalero Apaches. Hike into Boquillas or Santa Elena Canyon and look across the Rio Grande to Mexico. Stop at the Historic Hot Springs District for a soak in the rejuvenating hot water. We will decide on our best hike, then leave Terlingua at 9 a.m. We will meet at our office on Hwy 118 in Terlingua at 9 a.m. We are North of the junction of Hwy 118 and Hwy 170 (towards Alpine 3 blocks, between Big Bend Church and Bee Mountain Hardware Store). Make sure to pack a lunch, bring plenty of water, and wear sturdy shoes. We will return to Terlingua around 3:30-4:00 p.m. Price includes all fees.

Cancellation Policy

If you need to cancel your reservation, there is a non refundable 3% credit card fee and $25 booking fee. Free cancellation up until 30 days before the trip, 25% refund up until a week before the trip, within a week there is no refund. Make sure to arrive by 9 am, as we will nit be able to hold up the trip after 9:15. If you miss the trip there is not one later in the day. Call us if you are running late.
